    Radio has always been an important part of Carlos Rojas’ life and passion as noted by the life-long career and contributions to the Latino community.  Heard every day from 6:00 – 9:00 AM, “La Voz de Latino America,”  Carlos’ program touches on topics that are listened to by Chicago’s Latino community and beyond.  Throughout his career, Carlos has acted as a host at many community events such as the Mexican Civic Society Gala, Club Social San Luis, The Girl Scouts of America and other fundraising events always with the support of the Latino community as well as entertainers and local elected officials.  Carlos is known as a well-liked, hard-working radio personality that is proud to contribute to the Latino community.

    Christian Giannotti hosts “Su Salud y Dinero,” where he provides financial education to the Latino communities throughout the Chicago area.  He is the creator of the Four Pillars of Retirement & Financial Security, which allows him to offer valuable advice to every listener. The Four Pillars of Retirement & Financial Security presents solutions for protecting a listener’s health, money, family and overall assets.

     

    He believes that providing the right information from a credible source is critical for the growth, prosperity and evolution of all Latino communities.  His motto is “Siempre Abrazando a la Comunidad Latina” which translates to “Always Embracing the Latina Community.”

    A Latina small businesswoman, Vicky Corces hosts a mid-day two-hour show “Cafecito con Vicky,” which provides the Latino community an opportunity to share personal opinions about important topics.   Discussing topics such as health, business, community initiatives and current events, Vicky passionately guides the culturally appropriate conversation with facts while being a great listener. Vicky engages with her audience to connect, laugh, and voice their opinions and insights.  

    Pepe Mondragon

    Chef, host and master control technician, Pepe wears many hats at WRLL.  His love of music and culinary delights provide WRLL’s audience with a combination that is perfect in the middle of the day – good music, healthy nutritional tips and recipes for daily meals and for family celebrations.

    Listen to Fernando Jaramillo on Música y  Más every Monday-Friday from 3:00 – 6:00 PM. 

    Over the last ten years, Fernando has been broadcasting Música y Más to Chicago’s Latino community, entertaining them with songs and a wealth of knowledge on their origins.  This celebrated program highlights music, great artists, and conversations with the City of Chicago’s Latino influencers, trailblazers and leaders. 

     

    Fernando Jaramillo is a host who conducts his program with an unmistakable style, entertaining with songs, comments about the composer, singer, history, and important events when the songs were produced.  Jaramillo is identified as an “Announcer of Two Generations,” with listeners from 24 to 64+ years of age.  In the last five years, he has dedicated himself to promoting topics that are important to the Chicago’s Latino community.

    Javier del Real

    Listen to Javier del Real’s, “Joyas Musicales” every Monday – Friday from 10:00 PM – 2:00 AM.

    Music, singing, and drama have been very important to Javier since his early years in Mexico.  From his time in grammar and high school, Javier demonstrated his interest in the performing arts by taking many classes in voice, acting and in other artistic areas.  These classes served Javier well as he performed throughout Mexico in a variety of ways – from singing with a mariachi band, acting in soap operas and movies, to performing in nightclubs.  All of his performances showcase his many talents, love of life and energies.   

     

    Since 1989, Javier has lived in Chicago and currently hosts “Joyas Musicales,” during WRLL’s late evening hours. Javier and “Joyas Musicales” are followed by many and focus on well-known composers, singers and songs – all loved by his growing audience.  

     

    Javier brings a sense of gratitude, love of life and generosity to his audience.

    Javier D. Gonzalez

    Listen to Javier Gonzalez’, “Radio Canciones y Recuerdos” every Saturday from 12:00 PM (Noon) – 2:00 PM.

    Radio Canciones y Recuerdos” was created in 2006 with the objective of offering a program that appeals to all Latin American ethnic groups  – from Mexico to the tip of Argentina.  Acknowledging that Spanish is not the only language used throughout Latin American countries,  “Radio Canciones y Recuerdos” plays songs in English, Italian, French, Portuguese and Spanish.

     

    This program was also created to showcase and promote business owners, their services and products. In addition, this program serves as a distribution channel of general information that is needed by the Latino community.

     

    Javier D. Gonzalez, a businessman and owner of I.D.S. services (Info-Data-Services, Inc.), produces and hosts “Radio Canciones y Recuerdos.”  I. D. S., Inc. was established in 1985 and brings together other like-minded business people who promote and showcase their products and services.

    Arturo Garza

    Host and Technician

    A native of Chicago, Arturo Garza studied broadcasting at Illinois Media Studio in preparation to start his career as a technical producer at Midway Broadcasting Corporation for both WRLL 1450 AM and its sister station, WVON 1690 AM.

     

    As part of the WRLL team, Arturo manages and produces all afternoon shows every Monday – Friday.  Working with the various WRLL hosts, Arturo assists in selecting music and preparing interviewees.

     

    Recently, Arturo has begun co-hosting WVON’s sports show, “The Fundamentals” every Friday night.  On the weekends, Arturo DJs for Latino community events and parties.
